Creative Workshop: Five elements

January 28 • 10:0012:00

Five Elements is a super engaging sketch-based navigation workshop based on Kevin Lynch’s work on The Image of The City (1960). We introduce you to key principles on spatial cognition and empower you, through a series of fun sketching exercises, to make maps your own. That is, how to draw and read them better, so you can set out to explore — your close neighbourhood and further away — more confidently and as often as possible.

Throughout the workshop, we also move between the pragmatic and the poetic to experience how landscapes
seep into our imagination; how they shape our stories, our myths, and ultimately, ourselves. Equally we touch on the tactics for sustainable mobility, our right to Nature and the outdoors, and our simple need for exercise!

About the artist
