About the Artists

Kid Kreol & Boogie make use of symbols imbued with the essence of the Indian Ocean in order to share their profound bond with the latter. Their work expresses the reclaiming of their territory, of their culture, and of their ecosystem. Coming from a background of oral history, both artists use imagery to transcribe feelings and thoughts while straying away from folkloric and colonial narratives. They intervene both in public spaces and museums.
