Meet the Artist w/ Gaël Tissot

Come take a walk across our artist’s geolocalised musical landscape!

Come meet Gaël Tissot as he opens up about his artistic journey and shares the steps towards the creation of his installation “Toposonic”! After exchanging with the artist, you will get to discover his work on geolocalisation and sound right in the Edith Cavell mall’s courtyard, during a leisurely stroll around our historic premises. With your smartphone and headphones, you will get to both experience and influence Tissot’s audio-landscape while discovering novel sounds and characters. 

This session will be best enjoyed with your earphones, air-buds, or headsets. So do not forget to bring them along!

About Gaël Tissot 

When musician Gaël Tissot discovers computer programming and poetry, his life changes forever. His new interests first bring him to Toulouse, at the Conservatoire national supérieur de Lyon, and eventually to California, at UCBerkeley, where he writes his thesis on electroacoustic music. 

Gaël Tissot creates audio installations that fuses music to poetry. When it comes to digital arts, he has a knack for deviating technology from its intended purpose to create experiences such as geo-localised audio artworks with interactive and spatialised characteristics.
